We want everyone to have fun at the tennis club, but it would be wrong for us not to have a few rules in place to safeguard the club and our members. Please familiarise yourself with the rules before playing, thank you.
To protect the courts we all have to put on the right footwear that is designed for tennis. Cross trainers must NOT be worn as they damage the courts.
A short set should be played if other members (more than 8) are waiting to play on a club night.
Nets should be lowered at the end of play.
All items of rubbish should be removed from the court and placed in the bins provided, including tin lids from ball cans.
Juniors must have their loop fobsat all times and will be asked to leave the court if they are not shown.
No members should walk on the bowling green nor cycle around the perimeter of the bowling green.
Juniors are not allowed in the clubhouse without a senior member.
Astro turf courts must be dragged after use, and all balls must be returned to the clubhouse after play.
The club has adopted and maintains several policies for the safe running of the club. These policies include child protection. The policies are posted in the clubhouse, but if you would like a copy of any of our policies please contact a member of the committee who will be happy to see that you receive one.
A fee of £3 must be paid for all guests before starting play and their name entered in the Visitors' Book. Fees must be paid to a committee member. The honesty box must be used if nobody is available to take the fee. An individual may play as a guest a maximum of three times per year.
The key code to the club house will be sent out with your membership welcome letters. This key code MUST NOT be shared with non members.
Junior rules
The club has Codes of Practice that must be agreed when taking out membership, to protect the members and the club.
