The tennis club helps raise money for local charities by holding two charity days each year. One of these days is in support of St Luke’s Hospice, the second is usually a charity that has helped one of our members.

One of the most recent events, in which 52 ladies took part, raised £1000 for The Brain Tumour Charity. Over the last 11 years the tennis club has raised over £12,000 for local charities.

The driving force behind our charity occasions is Maria Ormerod who, with head coach John Walsh, ensures these events run like clockwork.
