About the Club

Everyone at the club loves their tennis on different levels and the committee work hard to cater for everyone and maintain Hartford’s position as one of the best clubs in Cheshire. We have a fantastic team with two full-time coaches that deliver a wide ranging and versatile tennis programme. So why not pop down and find out more, we would be happy to see you!

There are many great reasons to play tennis at Hartford. Here are just a few.

  • We have some of the newest and best facilities in the county – Floodlights on six astro turf courts and six Tiger Turf  courts. Complementing these are two tarmac courts.
  • A Padel-Tennis court
  • We hold a draw for  Wimbledon tickets each year – everyone has a chance of getting their choice of days.
  • We have a great coaching team. John Walsh, assisted by Jarrod Wood, Dave Forrest, and a team of youngsters, provide fun coaching and support to juniors and adults alike.
  • We are a friendly club that provides tennis for everyone regardless of standard.

HTC has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. Find out about the origins and history of the club here:

Club History

In 2009 we were nominated by Vale Royal Borough Council as local Sports Club of the Year and remain one of the largest and most attractive tennis clubs in Cheshire. But we never look back and are dedicated to improving our service to members and our facilities each year. Recent projects included the upgrading of the floodlights to LED’s.

On Court

So, whether you’re a social player looking for occasional or regular games, or a committed team member, we promise to have plenty on offer for you in the coming months.

Whatever the season, Hartford Tennis Club allows you to get involved in social tennis, as well as coaching sessions where players at all levels are welcomed and encouraged.

Tennis whatever the weather

Off-Court

And we’re more than just a tennis club. Our social events allow members to get to know one another better off the court. Look out for regular updates about these events on the website and notice boards around the club.

For All Ages

New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome.
